Special Sunday, b-words! Officially my favorite day of the week, now. Why? Because I get to talk about whatever I want. And today we’re going absolute meta.
100 DAYS OF WORDS – AN UPDATE
53 days ago I set out on a journey: to write 100 blog posts in 100 days which I called “100 Days of Words” because, even though I’m a writer, sometimes creativity eludes me. This has been a roller coaster of a project so far and I highly doubt it will become anything else before I’m done (at which point it will turn into one of those “Remember when I did the 100 blog posts in 100 days?” stories that end with everybody looking at me like I’m insane).
It’s been an interesting ride so far and now that I’m past the halfway mark I’m feeling a bit more confident in my ability to finish this thing. I admit there have been quite a few times where I thought I should just give up, but it’s been rewarding to find myself fighting through the urge to scream expletives at my monitor and quit.
With that said, it has been brought to my attention (midway through an alcohol-infused night yesterday) that my 100 Days of Words posts are somewhat hard to navigate now that we’ve gone past 50. My response was “Well, Day 1 has a table of contents” after which it was pointed out to me that Day 1 is 53 posts deep in my blog history and it gets “worse” every day.
Coming to the realization that I shouldn’t expect people to bookmark a blog post (what sort of self-centered jerk would expect that from his readers?) I’ve decided to move the table of contents from the original Day 1 post to a page specifically created to host this magnificent and ever growing table of contents.
Drum roll please…
Introducing, for the first time ever on this blog, as is the case for most other introductions, otherwise they would simply be reminders, the one and only…
The 100 DAYS OF WORDS TABLE OF CONTENTS page!
Now the table of contents for the 100 days of words project has its own page, and it’s linked right up there in the main menu, for everyone to find it. No more excuses.
Go take a look, read a few blog posts. If you look carefully you could even see me grow. At the very least, my featured images get cooler.
That’s it. Stay as long as you like. And if you like what you see, I’m available for hire!
