Bitcoin Mining Difficulty Continues To Rise

As more people plug in their mining rigs, the rate at which blocks are created increases, and this reduces the average mining time. To solve this, the Bitcoin network automatically increases the difficulty of the mathematical problems miners need to solve in order to “complete” a block. This increases the average duration of every mining operation, returning the system to its previous state of equilibrium.
